Patrick Dussault to race Nissan Micra Cup with Perry Performance/Hull Nissan

Patrick Dussault will enter two races in the Nissan Micra Cup series with Perry Performance/Hull Nissan race team, this weekend, during the Summer Classic event at Circuit Mont Tremblant.
Patrick Dussault, who was awarded the Bertrand-Fabi trophy in 2015 and participates in the NASCAR Pinty’s series road course races in 2016, is happy to take part in this event at the wheel of the Perry Performance/Hull Nissan n°86 Nissan Micra car.
“I want to race in multiple series and drive various types of race cars. I have raced single seaters and now stock cars, and I am happy to participate in these Micra Cup races this weekend”, declares Patrick Dussault.
The 24-year-old driver is looking forward to his first event ever in the Nissan Micra Cup, on the fast road course of Circuit Mont Tremblant.
“I want to achieve the best result possible, but I will not take any unnecessary risk. A podium-finish would be great, but not at all costs. I will not be there to compromise any other driver’s chances for the championship”, said Dussault,
Carl Wener, driver and manager of the Perry Performance/Hull Nissan race team and motorsport manager at Perry Performance & Competition, is happy to see the talented and versatile young driver racing with his team.
“Perry Performance & Competition’s goal to continue supporting grassroots motorsports works well with Patrick and this effort”, said Carl Wener. “He is a young, talented driver and we wanted to give him an opportunity to showcase his skills in this hotly contested series. Nissan has done an awesome job in promoting it and we want to add to that excitement. Patrick will also assist the team in future car preparation, so that the whole team will benefit from his involvement. We are quite excited for this weekend.”
The Nissan Micra Cup will be in action for two practice sessions and qualifying through the weekend. The 15-lap (30 minutes) races will take place on Saturday, July 23rd at 1:30 PM and on Sunday, July 24th at 1:40 PM.
